ABOUT

MISSION AND HISTORY

Second One Network Foundation mission is to nurture the social, emotional and cognitive growth of youth, using digital art technology as a therapeutic medium and a workforce development tool. S.O.N. FOUNDATION envisions a world where youth become creative and productive young adults. S.O.N. FOUNDATION believes that all youth should have equal access to information, people, and technology.

Second One Network Foundation goal is to  benefiting the poor, caring for the sick, supporting education or libraries, erecting public buildings, or otherwise lessening the burdens of government, supporting civic organizations to perform good works, promoting the welfare of the community or some class forming a part of the community.

S.O.N. Foundation integration of technology, social skill development, and creative arts therapy is premised on our belief that rehabilitative efforts that emphasize training and skill acquisition alone fail to address the fundamental psychological issues that transform proficiency into gainful employment. We provide youth with both a practical understanding of professional-level computer programs and the emotional capacity to lead a dedicated and successful professional life.

There are no short cuts to changing the lives of youth: extensive time, resources, and creative solutions are in order. S.O.N. Foundation potential to effect lasting change depends on our ability to offer both opportunities for youth to re-create themselves and appropriate pathways for social inclusion.

STAFF

Youth become involved with S.O.N. FOUNDATION by way of several strong partnerships with established organizations. We strategically reach youth at several points in their development. These different points of contact offer a sense of continuity for the youth, and afford S.O.N. FOUNDATION the ability to modify and appropriately time therapeutic interventions and skills training.
